BTS postponed tours

BTS was initially scheduled to go on the much-anticipated world tour with "Map of the Soul." Due to the global crisis caused by the coronavirus pandemic, the North American leg was postponed, as announced on March 27. The leg was expected to kick off on April 25 and end on June 6. A total of 14 tour dates in the U.S. starting in Santa Clara, Calif., and two in Canada had been delayed. No new dates have been advised yet since there is still uncertainty as to when the COVID-19 will be contained. BigHit has confirmed that purchased tickets will be honored.

The Kpop band had previously canceled the Asian leg tour, four of which were supposed to be held in their country, South Korea.

The July 3 and 4 concerts in London, U.K., are still on the calendar. No announcement has been given yet if it will push through.

"Map of the Soul: 7," BTS' most recent album, was released on February 21, 2020. Based on Gaon Music Chart, the standard record music chart in South Korea, the album sold a record-breaking 4.17 million copies. As announced on April 9, "Map of the Soul: 7" hit the quadruple-million certified album, Gaon's first in its history.
