Listen to the timeless 1967 hit from the "The Queen of Soul" herself, Aretha Franklin. While it was originally written and released by Otis Redding in 1965, the slight modifications to the lyrics turned it into a feminist anthem.

Redding's story was of a desperate man who doesn't mind being treated wrongly, as long as he gets "respect" when he brings money home. Franklin, however, was the strong and confident woman who never did her man wrong and, thus, demands respect. Aretha Franklin's hit is often regarded as one of the best R&B songs, earning her two Grammys in 1968.

Irish musician Enya released this song in 2000 as the lead to her fifth album "A Day Without Rain," topping charts in Canada in multiple countries in Europe. It also peaked at number ten on the Hot 100.

The new-age track is perfect for rainy days or for people looking for relaxation while studying or meditating. Enya's chant-like vocals, her Irish accent, and softly undulating rhythm backing her up made "Only Time" one of her best hits, and rightfully so.

It is even heard in the reality TV show "The Hills," as well as movies "Ice Princess" and "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants."

The upbeat song radiates positivity in its verses, made stronger with the gospel choir accompanying her towards the bridge. In other parts of the world, the iconic chorus has been the flagship theme for radio and TV ads of haircare brand Pantene.
