At Belgium's Tomorrowland Festival this past weekend, French EDM superstar David Guetta took some time out of his set to confront the existential horror of mindlessly twisting knobs for thousands of people as countless atrocities are being committed against innocent civilians at the very same moment. Or, you know, maybe he just got really high before he went on stage. Either way, there's footage of Guetta looking pretty bummed out during his set, which isn't really something we've come to expect from anyone willfully attending an EDM festival, even the DJs.
About four minutes into his set, during what sounds like a pretty standard EDM build-up, Guetta starts staring off into space, and though the crowd doesn't seem to mind or even notice, viewers of the festival's online stream caught Guetta staring directly into the cameras for an uncomfortably long time. It's not clear if Guetta was simply exhausted, or tripping on molly, or coming to the realization that he's absolutely sick of what he does for a living, but either way, it's a fascinating watch. To be fair to Guetta, he has the same look on his face that I'd probably have if I ever had to go to an EDM festival for whatever reason.
