In a recent interview with the Huffington Post, rapper Rick Ross discussed some of his political points of view, including his stance on gun rights, the role of women in the workplace, and the minimum wage.

Starting off with the Second Amendment, Ross admits, "I support the right to bear arms, I do, I'm a licensed carrier," which should come as no surprise to anyone familiar with Ross' history, as he has had trouble with the law in the past relating to gun violence and possession. However, Ross goes on to clarify his position, saying, "As far as when I go into public places, when I go out...I believe it's best to leave the firearm in your vehicle."

Ross then goes on to discuss his experiences working with women, and cites his own business ventures as positive examples of powerful female business leaders. "I'm surrounded by powerful women at all times," he says, "...they're great examples of great business leaders. I learn a lot...the majority of my team is made up of women, we're hugely successful."

Ross follows this with a discussion of the minimum wage issue, and seems to fall on the side of those who support its increase. "When it come to minimum wage, you're only really talking about a certain class," he says, "it's only really a certain demographic, and that's who really need it the most...and most definitely help is needed in those areas."

Ross concludes the interview on a less political note by discussing his involvement with restaurant chain Wingstop, saying his purchase of several franchises was "natural" for him.
