This alone beats three previous records set by "Boy With Luv" last April 2019. The collaboration between the Korean boyband BTS and American singer-songwriter Halsey posted 74.6 million views within its first day. Blackpink's comeback track is now the:

  • Most viewed YouTube Music Video in the First 24 Hours By a K-Pop Group
  • Most Viewed Music Video on YouTube in the first 24 hours
  • Most viewed YouTube video in the first 24 hours

The prestigious world records organizers and the Google video streaming platform confirmed that the live premiere for "How You Like That" peaked at 1.66 million viewers watching the video at one point. It adds two more Guinness World Records in Blackpink's belt:

  • Most viewers for the Premiere of a Music Video on YouTube
  • Most viewers for the Premiere of a Video on YouTube

These five new Guinness World Records collectively bagged by the K-Pop group adds to their other milestones, such as having the most subscribers on YouTube at 39.8 million followers. Following them in this category is the British boyband One Direction with 31.7 million subscribers. The quartet of Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa is also the most followed female group on music streaming platform Spotify.

Billboard's favorite new music for this week

The Blackpink comeback single also swept the weekly Billboard poll for the "Favorite New Music" last week, published Friday, June 26. "How You Like That" grabbed 72.43% of all votes for the week. The dance track, written by Korean hitmaker Teddy and Danny Chung, marks the group's return after a year of hiatus. Their last work, "Kill This Love," was commercially hit EP released the previous year.

Following far from the poll-topping K-Pop song was Charlie Puth's latest single "Girlfriend." Puth's first single for the year came in second with 10.5% of the votes. Melanie Martinez's fiery and edgy "Fire Drill" ranked third, earning 8.47% of the votes. Trevor Daniel and Selena Gomez come in fourth place with their "Past Life (Remix)" at 4.58% while Megan Thee Stallion's "Girls in the Hood" rounds the Top 5 with 2.69%.

Since Blackpink debuted in 2016 under YG Entertainment, they have been continuously setting records with their critical and commercial successes. Currently, they also hold the honor of being the highest-charting female K-Pop group on both of Billboard's singles and the albums chart.

Their recent collaboration with Lady Gaga, last month's "Sour Candy," is the highest Blackpink track on the Hot 100 to date. Meanwhile, their 2019 EP "Kill This Love" peaked at number 24 on the Billboard 200.
