To thank his fans, Tekashi 6ix9ine reveals how he did his wildly colorful music videos from his home, as his house arrest comes to an end.

The "GOOBA" rapper posted a video on Instagram last Saturday, July 4. Tekashi, whose real name is Daniel Hernandez, treated his fans to his behind the scenes exclusive. Following the approval of his home confinement request due to health concerns, Tekashi 6ix9ine has released three music videos. He released "GOOBA" on May 8, "Trollz" with Nicki Minaj on June 12, and "Yaya" on Saturday, July 4.

"SO HOUSE ARREST IS COMING TO AN END... AND I WANT TO SAY THANK YOU TO ALL MY FANS..." the rapper wrote. He then declared how he "created and broke a whole bunch of records" from his living room. 6ix9ine called his third music video, "Yaya," as the last of his "house arrest saga."

In his IG video, the 24-year-old rapper can help move furniture, put up wallpapers, and clean up his homemade sets. His video ends with a snippet of his latest track, "Yaya," which now has more than 32 million views on YouTube two days after it premiered.

"YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST I MADE THE BEST OF WHAT I HAD FROM MY LIVING ROOM AND WE STILL WENT NUMBER 1 WE STILL WENT PLATINUM COMING HOME FROM JAIL I LOVE YOU," 6ix9ine added in the caption. His IG post now has more than 6 million views as of this article.

Tekashi 6ix9ine's trial and early release

In November 2018, Daniel Hernandez was arrested together with four others. He was arrested on federal RICO and firearms charges. Hernandez also faced allegations of conspiracy to murder and armed robbery.

The rapper pled guilty to the charges on February 1, 2019. Two weeks later, his camp made a plea arrangement to reduce the rapper's jail time in exchange for his cooperation. Tekashi 6ix9ine agreed to testify against members of the Nine Trey Gangsters. By December, Tekashi received a two-year sentence in line with the plea deal.

Following the coronavirus pandemic, 6ix9ine requested to serve his remaining time at home last March. His camp argued that he has a higher risk of contracting the highly contagious disease because of his pre-existing asthma. By the start of April, Rolling Stone reported that his request had been granted.

His three post-prison releases

Shortly after his release, Tekashi 6ix9ine dropped the music video for his new song, "GOOBA." It was preceded by an IG post announcing that he's back. The music video, shot in his home, features the rapper morphing into an animated rat, rapping "You're mad I'm back." It reportedly referenced his role as in "ratting out" members of the Nine Trey Gangster in exchange for the reduced time sentence. His first post-prison release now has 428 million views as of this article.

It was followed by "Trollz," which featured her friend and collaborator, Nicki Minaj. It marked their third collaboration after "Fefe" and "Mama," both released in 2018. It debuted at the top of the Billboard Hot 100. Unfortunately, it suffered a record-breaking fall of 33 places from the top spot down to No. 34 in the singles chart.

Then, just last week, the rapper and former felon released his "last of the house arrest saga." His latest track "Yaya," is sung entirely in Spanish, and features the same visual formula as his first two music videos.
