Gloria Estefan paid respects to fellow Glee star Naya Rivera.

"I have sent prayers out to her family. She was a wonderful person and an amazing singer."

In a virtual interview with Richard Arnold on Good Morning Britain, she shared her sentiments saying, "Knowing that the baby was on the boat by himself, as a mother, I knew that it was practically impossible that she would be still alive."

Estefan worked close with Rivera as she plays the late actress' mother in Glee. She played Maribel Lopez while Rivera played Santana Lopez, a major character on the show.

The Cuban-American singer was delighted to work as Rivera's mom and that "Naya was down to earth." She complimented the late actress for her singing and hoped that her fans remember Rivera as a triple threat.

It was reported last month that Rivera accidentally drowned while she was on a boat trip. The actress was with her four-year-old son, Josey, at Lake Piru in California that time.

Rescuers found her body five days later after she went missing. Sheriff Bill Ayub shared an account of what may have happened. They believed that Rivera disappeared in mid-afternoon. She was probably swimming with her boy when the boat started drifting because it was not anchored. She only had enough energy to save the boy but not enough to keep herself. She was laid to rest at Hollywood Hills cemetery in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

Rivera was able to get a guest spot for the show Sugar Rush, a baking show on Netflix. Her manager and family agreed to release the episode as scheduled. That episode will be especially dedicated to her.

Other co-stars from the comedy-drama musical TV series also paid their respects for the late actress via social media. Some shared that Rivera always had their back, a great advocate, and a force of nature.
