Chance The Rapper is taking a break from performing.

Mad Decent recently announced via Twitter that the "Cocoa Butter Kisses" rapper has cancelled his appearances at Mad Decent Block Party gigs in Brooklyn, Philadelphia, Boston and Toronto.

Chance is citing exhaustion as his reason for pulling out.

Vic Mensa will reportedly fill in for Chance The Rapper at the remaining stops. The two performed together at this year's Lollapalooza festival in Chicago.

Chance The Rapper was joined onstage by R. Kelly during his performance yesterday (August 3).

According to PhillyDJ Sega is no longer on the roster for Mad Decent. From a before and after flyer, it appears Gent & Jawns have replaced him. There is reportedly some tension among acts from the original line up.

As Vibe notes, this is not the first time Chance has withdrawn from shows.

Back in April, Music Times reported the emcee cancelled his Coachella set after being hospitalized.

"On behalf of @chancetherapper and our entire team- We sincerely regret to have to cancel our 2nd weekend at coachella. -CTR MGMT," a tweet sent from Chance the Rapper's page said.

According to MTV, the rapper was "running a 104 degree fever and could not speak due to the inflammation of his throat."

In May, he reportedly fell ill prior to his Hangout Festival performance. His set was replaced with a performance from Moon Taxi

As previously reported, two attendees died following the Washington, D.C. Mad Decent Block Party.

Twenty other attendees were hospitalized and 50 citations were given out for underage drinking. Three people were arrested as well.
