"Pearl Jam" guitarist Stone Gossard seemingly hinted that he's a fan of "Motely Crue" following the recent drama that embroiled between their singer Eddie Vedder and their rival band in a recent interview.

In an interview with Revolver Magazine, he tackled "Motley Crue's" style of music and mentioned that some of his bandmates enjoy them.

When the host asked him about Vedder's shocking remarks in a previous article published a few weeks back, he noted how he, Jeff Ament, and Mike McCready enjoyed their rival band's style of hard rock.

"Jeff and Mike and I loved hard rock, like went through it all," he said.

The guitarist also recalled the time when he first bought the band's record, saying, "I thought it was, at the time, it was punk-like."

He also noted how their music is almost like "Motorhead." Gossard shared how he was discovering British hard rock at the time, saying it felt "rebelious or against the norm or something that" interested him in it. (via Loud Wire)

The drama between the two bands started when "Pearl Jam" frontman Eddie Vedder made shocking remarks in an article published by The New York Times Magazine.

The singer said he "despised" most of the hair metal of the 1980s. He name-dropped their rival band and their song "Girls, Girls, Girls."

Following this, Nikki Sixx hits back online in a tweet, saying "Pearl Jam" is "one of the most boring bands in history." He also made fun of Vedder's way of singing.

The drama between the two most prominent rock bands didn't stop there as Vedder called the band out while performing at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark.

Before a drum solo by Chad Smith of "Red Hot Chili Peppers," the "Earthling" frontman took a swipe against "Motely Crue's" Tommy Lee.

"That drum kit - that silver, beautiful machine that he is the engine of - does not need to elevate or rotate to do its job. Let me just point that out," he told the audience.

'Pearl Jam,' 'Motely Crue' Updates

"Pearl Jam" is planning to release new music soon following their 2020 record titled "Gigaton."

Gossard is currently a member of another band, "Painted Shield." They recently released a music video for "Dead Man's Dream."

On the other hand, "Motley Crue" is set to return to the stage after their Stadium Tour has been postponed twice over the past years.

Their member, Vince Neil, is now back on stage after falling off a stage in a solo show causing his ribs to be broken.
