After announcements of the upcoming theatrical release of the 2021 Astroworld tragedy documentary have surfaced online, lawyers from Live Nation attempt to block its broadcast.

Titled "Concert Crush," the upcoming documentary will take a deep look at the infamous Astroworld Festival tragedy involving rapper Travis Scott last November 2021 in Houston, Texas.

Live Nation Warns Astroworld Judge of 'Concert Crush' Release

According to Billboard, lawyers representing Live Nation, the main organizer of the Astroworld Festival, wrote to the presiding judge of the Astorowld mega case about the upcoming theatrical release of the new documentary.

Per Live Nation, it was "important" that the judge be aware of the upcoming documentary as it might "taint" the jury pool participating in the trial.

The events company camp particularly noted that one of the lawyers representing the victims, Ricardo Ramos, was a producer of the documentary.

"The involvement of plaintiffs' lawyers in the film, and the publicity the filmmakers and producers are trying to generate for it, raise significant issues about efforts to taint the jury pool," Neal Manne said in the letter. He is Live Nation's head lawyer on the Astroworld lawsuit.

Astroworld Victims Lawyers Hit Back on Live Nation Note

Lawyers representing the victims hit back on Live Nation's "transparent tattle tale" note that they claimed to have a "sky is falling" tone.

Per Atty. Robert Hillard, a lawyer who was not involved in the production of the documentary film, suggested that Live Nation lawyers are on a different agenda.

Hillard noted that the opposing lawyers are "hoping to distract this court from their own clients' criminally negligent conduct in the deaths and injuries of so many."

On the other hand, Brent Coon, a victim lawyer interviewed in the documentary, confirmed that the material had been filmed before a "gag order" was laid out on the lawyers working on the case.

Coon also highlighted that the presiding judge had already been informed of the documentary beforehand.

"The letter does not seem to seek any relief but is some sort of generic 'complaint' about the documentary and the fact that several plaintiff lawyers and some of their Astroworld tragedy victims were interviewed," he added.

Astroworld Festival Documentary' Concert Crush'

Directed by Charlie Minn, "Concert Crush" goes in-depth on the highly-reported and controversial Astroworld accident that claimed the lives of ten people and left hundreds injured.

Minn described himself as a "victim-driven" filmmaker as he had produced documentaries before about mass tragedies, including the 2017 Las Vegas Massacre.

"Concert Crush" will have interviews from prominent Texas lawyers representing hundreds of Astroworld victims who have filed lawsuits against Travis Scott and Live Nation.

The documentary will be screened later tonight at 7:00 p.m. CDT in Premiere Cinemas Burleson and LOOK Dine-In Cinemas in Dallas, Texas.

Per Bloomberg, Live Nation, Apple Inc., and rapper Travis Scott faces a $2 billion lawsuit in this high-profile lawsuit.
