The Osheaga 2022 Festival Musique et Arts finally filled its Friday headliner with Arcade Fire.

The Canadian indie rock band is filling in for the previously announced headliner Foo Fighters. They have pulled out all their upcoming performances and world tours following the death of their drummer, Taylor Hawkins.

Osheaga 2022 Festival Lineup Now Includes Arcade Fire

In a tweet announcing the all-new lineup, Osheaga welcomes the band, who very much fits the bill, considering the festival is held in Montreal, Canada.

"Arcade Fire will be with us this summer! A milestone deserves to be celebrated as a family, so for our 15th anniversary, it only made sense for us to invite the group that has had the most profound impact in the heart of our city over the past decades," the tweet translates.

Aside from Arcade Fire, Osheaga 2022 lineup packs a star-studded roster of artists and musicians.

Along with Arcade Fire on the Friday lineup are Yeah Yeah Yeahs, KYGO, The KID LAROI, Charlie XCX, Big Sean, Dominic Fike, PinkPantheress, Turnstile, and Chris Lake, among others.

Soon-to-be father A$AP Rocky will lead the Saturday stage, followed by acts from MITSKI, Lany, Freddie Gibbs, Burna Boy, Khruangbin, Porter Robinson, BIA, and more.

Sunday's roster might be the biggest one yet, as Dua Lipa, Machine Gun Kelly, Glass Animals, IDLES, Ashnikko, Gracie Abrams, CORDAE, Tinashe, Genesis Owusu, and more performs.

The addition of Arcade Fire to the roster came weeks after one of their longtime members Will Butler, left the band.

Arcade Fire Will Butler Left Band Days After New Album 'WE' Announced

Exactly two days after Arcade Fire announced their heavily teased upcoming album "WE," Will Butler candidly announced on Twitter his exit from the band.

"Hi friends- I've left Arcade Fire," Butler wrote in a series of tweets Saturday. "I left at the end of last year, after the new record was complete. There was no acute reason beyond that I've changed-and the band has changed-over the last almost 20 years. Time for new things," the instrumentalist said in a series of tweets.

Butler helmed different instruments while he was in Arcade Fire. He played the bass, percussions, and synthesizers since he joined the band in 2003, appearing from their 2004 album "Funeral" up until the band's latest effort, "WE."

"WE" will be out on May 6, 2022, after eagle-eyed fans spent tirelessly theorizing the concept of the upcoming release on Reddit.

Festivalgoers in Osheaga 2022 might see the band perform its latest two singles from the album "Lightning I" and "Lightning II."

The Osheaga 2022 Festival Musique et Arts will be held on July 29 to 31, 2022 on the Parc Jean Drapeau in Montreal, Canada.
