Olivia Rodrigo has been on a roll for the past year, and with the ongoing trek of the "SOUR" tour, the GRAMMY-winning artist might have ticked off another check in her bucket list recently.
Rodrigo, who others have said popularized a new age of pop-rock in the younger generation, has idolized a lot of icons in the same genre.
She has publicly expressed that she was influenced by the likes of Taylor Swift, Lorde, Gwen Stefani, Alanis Morrisette, Kacey Musgraves, and Avril Lavigne - whom she guested in one of her concert tours in the past weeks.
But aside from the female artists she idolized, another notable music figure has emerged that Olivia had apparently been looking up to for a long time.
Olivia Rodrigo Meets White Stripes Singer Jack White
In her most recent Instagram post, Olivia Rodrigo posted a photo of her and Jack White, publicly confessing how much she's been stanning the White Stripes guitarist.
"got to meet my hero of all heroes today. still crying. thank u @officialjackwhite for being so kind to ur biggest fangirl. everyone go listen to fear of the dawn!!!!!," the "drivers license" hitmaker wrote.
A video posted shows the two hugging each other while the female artist squeals in glee after meeting one of her music idols.
On the other hand, White reposted the same set of photos on his Instagram account, but now with his impression of the chart-topping singer.
"I had the chance to meet a talented singer and musician today named @OliviaRodrigo, she's very cool, very real and very much a lover of music. She's also introducing another set of youth to the love of vinyl records as well. Respect. -jack white III," he captioned.
Although no information was revealed why the two met and what they have talked about, it may seem in Jack's caption that they might have had a truthful discussion on the pop-rock genre.

This is not the first time this week that Olivia was praised for her music recently; Travis Barker has opened up and gave the singer some flowers too. (via Louder)
In a recent interview, Travis Barker said that he had liked Olivia's chart-topping album "SOUR" and everything that Billie Eilish had done. The two artists were undeniably among the biggest pop superstars now.
"It doesn't mean that it's just pop-punk or has to be categorized like that. Olivia Rodrigo is probably going to make an album that has a little bit of pop-punk influence and some other influences too. Billie's going to make whatever magical music she's going to make and she's going to be inspired by so much," the Blink-182 drummer said.
