New accounts of Taylor Hawkins' friends revealed that he was at his wits' end before dying.

A month and a half after his death, the Rolling Stone interviewed some of the Foo Fighters drummer's friends.

In the interview, family members and Foo Fighters colleagues reportedly refused to discuss the drummer. Nonetheless, the band's management questioned the companions' depictions of Hawkins' emotions right before his tragic death.

Hawkins was noted in the interview as being apprehensive about the band's rigorous and prolonged traveling schedule.

Friends stated he didn't know whether he could physically sustain playing three-hour gigs every night and even questioned if he could continue as a full-time member of the Foo Fighters.

Pearl Jam drummer Matt Cameron apparently had a heart-to-heart talk with Hawkins, telling him that he "'couldn't f-king do it anymore.'"

"So I think they did come to some understanding," Cameron said, "but it just seems like the touring schedule grew even busier after that."

However, a band spokesman disputed that Hawkins addressed the aforementioned concerns.

They informed the publication that no heart-to-heart dialogue between the two musicians actually occurred, nor did they ever discuss the subject during their alleged encounter.

According to the Pearl Jam guitarist, Taylor Hawkins even consented to continue travelling with the band merely to be a "team player."

Cameron stated in the interview that the Foo Fighters' tour employs a large number of people, stating that they are "aware of the economic side of anything."

However, the same spokesperson disputed that the drummer planned to cut back on the tour.

They also denied that Hawkins was the member of the band who "passed out" on an aircraft a few months ago.

That event, according to Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith, did occur.

According to Smith, it was "one of the straws that broke the camel's back."

He added that during the heart-to-heart, Hawkins reportedly repeated the same remarks about travelling and timetable.

Taylor Hawkins' postmortem results have not yet been made public, however a urinalysis revealed that he had various substances in his system, including antidepressants, painkillers, marijuana, and benzodiazepines.
