Cassyette New Songs 2022

A few weeks ago, the singer released two new songs titled "Sad Girl Mayhem" and "Dead Roses." She also dropped an acoustic version of her track "Mayhem."

In a press release, the singer said she loved the three songs and was torn between releasing something that leaned towards the sound of pop-punk ("Sad Girl Summer") or a "real heavy track" ("Dead Roses").

"In the end I thought, why not just give my fans both and a stripped back version of 'Mayhem'," she added.

Explaining the stories behind her newly-released singles, Cassyette said "Sad Girl Summer" is about being cheated on, and she wanted people to feel empowered by it.

"Anyone that's ever been cheated on will understand that hurt. It's a proper rager in the chorus," she added.

When she was writing the song, the singer said she was so fed up and was crying over the person she loved. She ended up finishing the piece in two days.

During the first day, she felt depressed, but she turned the song around and wanted to reclaim the power the following day.

In an interview with the outlet, Cassyette spoke about how TikTok encouraged her to embrace and create more music that pushed her to the extreme ends.

The singer noted that she finds the social media platform "fun," and there are many "like-minded people" there.

"there's this new alt scene forming on the platform. We all encourage each other as well, which I've found really inspiring," she added.

The songs she's been writing have different genres like hardcore, pop-rock, metal, and deathcore.

At first, she was skeptical about releasing those "more extreme songs," but the platform helped her that she could be more than one thing.
