Amy Winehouse may have died more than a decade ago, but her impact on the music industry will continue forever, as many fans are still referencing her songs today. Recently, former collaborator Mark Ronson shared a video online, revealing how the song "Back to Black" came to fruition.

The record producer took to his TikTok account to share a video where he shared his first encounter with the late legend.

At the beginning of the clip, Ronson introduced himself, saying, "for those of you who might not know me, I wrote the song 'Back to Black' with Amy Winehouse some 15 years ago at this exact piano right here." (via People Magazine)

Ronson recalled that Winehouse came to his studio where they met for the first time. Upon meeting each other, the musician loved her.

"She played me all this great '60s music, and she left, and I got very inspired, and I came up with this piano right here," he added.

The musician, who previously worked with Lady Gaga and other artists, then played a piano riff that is familiar to fans of Winehouse.

He played a line from "Back to Black," which was a massive success at the time as it has been certified Platinum in the United States and double Platinum in the United Kingdom.

Ronson continued his story, saying the late "Valerie" songstress came the next day and wrote "incredible lyrics" that she scribbled in the back of the room.

"And for the first time ever maybe, here are the very first vocals that she did," he added.

The record producer then played raw vocals of Amy Winehouse during their first recording session from his computer.

The video has been viewed millions of times by fans and amassed 300,000 likes on TikTok.

To respond to a fan's comment, "this made me tear up to hear her raw takes. Thank you for sharing," Ronson shared a follow-up video, playing another set of Winehouse's vocals.

According to The Guardian, the singer was found dead in her apartment in Camden, north London, on July 23, 2011. She died of alcohol poisoning.

In a previous interview, Ronson detailed his final moments with the singer, saying he didn't love how he behaved around her. He wished he'd been a little "more upfront or confrontational" about her addiction.
