Johnny Depp is regaining control of his life after winning a defamation suit against Amber Heard.

Even before the jury reached a verdict, the "Pirates of the Caribbean" star was so sure in their ruling that he flew to the United Kingdom to join his long-time buddy Jeff Beck on his UK concert tour.

The 58-year-old actor played alongside the famed musician on May 29 in the UK as thejury deliberated in Fairfax, Virginia, US, on his case made against the "Aquaman" actress.

Depp also played in London's Royal Albert Hall on May 30 and the next day, before playing in Newcastle on June 2, the day after the judgement.

Though many concertgoers liked watching Depp play on stage with Beck, not everyone was as taken with his musical abilities as they were with his acting.

Beck is "great," according to one critic who spoke to LADBible, Nick Rowe, but there is one caveat.

"The entire evening was ruined by Mr. Depp's lack of skill. At one point, he sounded like an intoxicated bar singer. I'm not sure what Jeff Beck is thinking."

Another Beck fan complained that the actor's presence alongside their idol "took so much away from Beck."

They even claimed Depp's presence was a "publicity stunt."

"Too much, Johnny Depp; we didn't come to see you. He was a kind of a PR gimmick, and he didn't contribute much to the party, but he took so much away from Beck."

Some fans believe it was a "narcissistic performance" by Johnny Depp and a "insensitive move" by Beck since "abuse victims" are in his audience.

Is Johnny Depp a Bad Musician?

According to music critic Neil McCormick, who wrote for The Telegraph and expressed his opinions on the entire affair, while Johnny Depp is not a strong vocalist, "he understands how to present a song."

"Depp's presence brought flair and made room for Beck to shine brighter."

Depp's presence at Jeff Beck's concerts provided genuine tunes, allowing for "more dynamic interaction."

Despite the amount of supporters who slammed Depp for snatching Beck's limelight, some were overjoyed to see "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" on stage.

During the June 2 show, Jeff Beck told the crowd about meeting Depp five years ago and how they haven't stopped laughing since.

It has also been reported that Beck and Depp will be releasing an album.
