Nipsey Hussle's horrifying murder had been detailed in the recent trial.

Three years after rapper Nipsey Hussle's death, the murder trial officially began to determine what happened during the incident and the charges his killer would receive.

Eric Holder, who has been accused of shooting and killing the then-33-year-old rapper, was indicted on two counts of attempted murder, one count of possession of a firearm by a felon, and one count of murder.

During the opening statements on Wednesday, a Los Angeles district attorney shared terrifying details about Hussle's death, including the claims that the fatal shooting was premeditated by Holder.

According to Deputy District Attorney John McKinney, the suspect knew that he would kill the rapper following their conversation about snitching.

"He clearly thought about what he was going to do before he did it," McKinney told the jurors, per The Seattle Times.

He then showed a video that recorded the aftermath of the shooting. Several people were seen trying to revive the rapper.

The prosecutor also presented photos and another video showing Holder shooting Hussle and leaving the scene while carrying his semiautomatic gun and a revolver.

McKinney later discussed how the shooting occurred after Hussle heard that Holder was a snitch. Before the suspect shot the rapper, Hussle and his two friends were having a cool conversation with the shooter.

Eric Holder's Attorney Defends Client

Attorney Aaron Jansen, Holder's attorney, did his best to defend his client.

After McKinney's statements, he strongly denied that Hussle's killing was premeditated. He also defended that the shooting of two other men was not intended, as well.

"Mr. Villanueva may have been grazed, we're not sure. He didn't give a statement to the officers. He refused to be interviewed," he said, per Rolling Stone.

To save the suspect from further charges, he served his mental health on the table as the main issue in the case.

Holder killed Hussle in April 2019 outside his clothing store. Responders were still able to rush him to a local hospital, but he was later pronounced dead.

Deputy Medical Examiner Lawrence Nguyen previously told the grand jury that the late rapper sustained 11 gunshot wounds. Meanwhile, one of the two men who were shot also needed to undergo treatment at a hospital.

Los Angeles Police Commissioner Steve Soboroff and Police Chief Michael Moore were scheduled to meet him and his representatives on the day he died to have an anti-gang violence meeting.
