It looks like Young Thug's family would visit another family member in jail anytime soon. This is because the rapper's nephew was currently in police custody.

Although the actual incident happened days ago, it is only around this time that outlets have confirmed his identity and relationship to the GRAMMY-winning rapper who is currently in jail.

Young Thug has been behind bars ever since the first week of May 2022 as he was the star person on the sweeping indictment of rappers and associated from his own label, YSL Records, including Gunna.

Young Thug Nephew Arrested in Georgia for Murder

TMZ initially learned recently that Young Thug's nephew, Fardereen Deonta Grier was taken into police custody for the murder of his girlfriend.

East Point Police Departmemt Allyn Glover tells the outlet that when their fleet of officer responded to the call, Grier was already crying while his girlfriend, identified Destiny Fitzpatrick was lying in the floor lifeless in her own pool of blood on their front door.

Apparently, Grier allegedly shot Fitzpatrick in the face which led to her death.

Grier's identity is a mystery to the authorities at the time of arrival on the crime scene as he voluntarily said that he was the nephew of the Pick Up The Phone hitmaker. But TMZ later on confirmed his relation to the rapper - he is the son of Young Thug's oldest sister.

Thugger's nephew initially lied to the police as to the actual cause of death of her girlfriend. At first, Grier sad that he was fending of two armed and masked home intruders, but eventually succumbed and revealed the truth of shooting Fitzpatrick in the face.

A neighbor corroborated the confession, noting that they heard the two arguing before the gunshot.

Fardereen Deonta Grier is charged was arrested and charged with murder.

Young Thug Remains In Jail Awaiting For 2023 Trial

Sadly, Grier was not the only member of the William's family spending their time in jail. His famous rapper uncles has been behind bars since May 9 after he was arrested in a massive 88-page indictment.

Young Thug was among the many rappers and associates of his own label, YSL Recors who were arrested. Thugger and Gunna was arrested for allegedly conspiring to violate Georgia's RICO Act as show in their music lyrics which was made as damning evidence for their indictment.

Gunna was denied bond again yesterday, so him and Thug would be spending the following months in prison until proven innocent on their January 2023 trial.
