In 2016, after eight years of marriage, Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey have divorced. Still, this does not mean they can no longer stand each other. If Cannon would have his way, Carey and him would now be back together.

Nick Cannon said so himself that he would be open to reconciling with his ex-wife Mariah Carey if the conditions were right.

During an appearance on The Hot Tee Talk Show, the 41-year-old actor described his ex-girlfriend as his "fantasy love" and said that no other love will ever match. During a game on the show 'Spin The Block,' Cannon chose Carey as an ex-girlfriend he would reconcile with.

The Wild 'N Out host talked highly of her current boyfriend, long-term partner Bryan Tanaka, and how 'wonderful' Tanaka was with her children with Mariah, Moroccan and Monroe, who are 11 years old. He could not deny, though, that Mariah was his "fantasy love."

"I truly respect her, the relationship that she's been in for quite some time, and you know dude is amazing with my kids, and we got family gatherings... I truly respect her, but c'mon, that's my fantasy love. That's somebody I will always love," he explained.

He added, "I guess because I'm a true romantic, I'm a true believer in love, and I allow the capsules of love to be where they lie. And I'm not a timeline dude, I believe time is man made, we make it linear when I believe it's more reciprocal."

He then said he knows he will never experience the same kind of love he had for Mariah Carey. That said, he said that going back to the way things are is not easy. In fact, having a second chance might not be as good as his fantasy.

"Sometimes the fantasy of spinning the block, it'll never be what you think it'll be."

Nick stated that he would reluctant to reconcile with Mariah for fear of destroying their 'fairy tale' bond.

Nick has only ever been married once, to Mariah. They wed in 2008 before separating officially in 2016. But his number of children has certainly grown.

The star is currently expecting two further children with two separate women.

Cannon has six children: twins Moroccan and Monroe, age 11, from his ex-wife Mariah; Golden, age 5, and Powerful Queen, age 19 months, from Brittany Bell; and twins Zion Mixolydian and Zillion Heir, age 13 months, with Abby De La Rosa.

Zen, the rapper's five-month-old son with Alyssa Scott, went away from a malignant brain tumor in December 2021.

Cannon stated in January that he is having his eighth child with model Bre Tiesi, and he has since revealed that he is also expecting his ninth child with De La Rosa.

Nick, who once described monogamy as a "Eurocentric idea," is reportedly expecting his ninth child around October 25, according to TMZ.
