Is Travis Barker doing well after suffering pancreatitis?

Fans got worried when news about Barker's hospitalization emerged. The health scare came shortly after his wedding to Kourtney Kardashian.

Weeks after the admission, the Blink-182 member came back stronger and tougher during his recent performance.

On Wednesday, the drummer made a surprise appearance at Machine Gun Kelly's show at the Forum in Los Angeles. He and MGK performed "Bloody Valentine" and "Tickets To My Downfall" as he played the drums.

It marked his first performance since his recent unexpected medical condition.

"Hey, you know a fun fact is that Travis is not supposed to be playing drums right now but guess what he's doing here: playing drums right now!" MGK said.

Indeed, Barker showed an immediate recovery following pancreatitis following a complication from an endoscopy he underwent earlier.

In an Instagram Story, he explained what happened to him and how he faced the life-threatening condition.

"During the endoscopy, I had a very small polyp removed right in a very sensitive area usually handed by specialists, which unfortunately damaged a critical pancreatic drainage tube. This resulted in severe life-threatening pancreatitis. I am so very, very grateful that with the intensive treatment, I am currently much better," he said, as quoted by Rolling Stone.

Travis Barker's Health Through The Years

It was not the first time Barker faced a health issue.

In 2008, he got involved in a plane crash that killed four people. Before the plane exploded, Barker and his longtime collaborator, DJ AM (Adam Michael Goldstein), fortunately, survived after decising to jump out of the plane's emergency exit door.

In an interview with Joe Rogan on his "The Joe Rogan Experience," he sustained third-degree burns in 65 percent of his body.

"My whole body lit up. I had jet fuel in my whole body. I burped jet fuel for almost three months [later]," he said. "When I jumped into the jets, I started running... I was ripping off my clothes because that's what my instinct told me to do... but little did I know I was still on fire because I was soaked in jet fuel."

He underwent 16 surgeries at that time and spent more than 11 weeks in the hospital.

He never boarded a plane ever again not until Kourtney helped him conquer his fear of flying last year.

Meanwhile, Barker also got admitted in June 2018 due to complications from blood clots found in both of his arms. At that time, he was diagnosed with cellulitis and staph infection.

The musician got involved in a road crash a month later when a school bus hit his car.
