The recent tour announcement came a few days after Sawayama revealed that she would release the third single from her upcoming album.

The pop star took to her Twitter account to share the official artwork of her new song that features herself with a woman's hand holding her chin.

Titled "Hold The Girl," the new single will be available for streaming and purchase in a few hours (July 27).

Sawayama also shared a TikTok video where she explained the songwriting process of her upcoming song.

After writing the single in her notes app following a therapy session, the singer said she immediately knew it would be her album's title track.

Earlier that day, the "Love Me 4 Me" songstress said she had a "really emotional therapy session" where her therapist encouraged her to "hold the inner child."

"The song is about honoring your inner child. It's about giving yourself the support and love that you feel you didn't have as a youth," she explained.
