Steely Dan has been on tour over the past few months, but they're going to cancel their shows this weekend for a valid reason.

According to Yahoo! Entertainment, the jazz-rock band announced that they're going to postpone their show at Barbara B. Mann Performing Arts Hall this weekend despite tickets being sold out.

In addition, they also canceled two other scheduled performances in Florida.

The band issued a statement regarding the cancelation of Steely Dan's show on the Fort Myer's venue's official website.

"The Steely Dan concerts scheduled to play Hollywood, FL on 7/28; Ft Myers, FL on 7/30, Orlando, FL on 8/1 & 8/2... have been CANCELLED," the announcement reads.

The reason behind their postponement is due to "COVID and health safety protocols."

They assured that all tickets would be automatically refunded to those who purchased passes.

In addition to the dates above, they also canceled their show in North Charleston, South Carolina, on August 4.

Following their announcement, many fans took to Twitter to express their disappointment over the cancelation.

"Well this is suboptimal: #SteelyDan just canceled their concert tomorrow in Hollywood because of covid reasons, which is also why they canceled their shows in Miami Beach last fall. So now I'm 0-2 on attempts to see them. Should I do it again?" another one wrote.

One fan also claimed that they drove from Naples to Hollywood, Florida, just to see the show and they're currently staying at their hotel.

"I bought these tickets literally a year ago this week. I think I'm done waiting," another wrote.

As of this writing, the band has not confirmed whether a member has tested positive for COVID-19. They have also not announced any re-scheduled dates.
