Camilla Cabello pondered on Fifth Harmony's "wild ride" as she celebrated the group's 10th anniversary. Her comments about the special day came a little bit later than the other four members', who posted their thoughts almost at the same time.

While its too presumptuous to say that Cabello probably was not going to post about the special day in the first place, its easy to assume that Cabello's comments right now did not fully convey what she feels about the day and the group. She talked about how wild it has been without really divulging any reason why she deemed it that.

After all, Cabello did not leave the group in good terms with the remaining members. Her latest song "Psychofreak," also have more telling lyrics about what she truly feels about her Fifth Harmony days.

In the caption, she wrote, "10 years since this f**kin wild ride. crazy to think when this picture was taken we barely knew each other and the journey we were about to go on would change our lives forever . I wanna remember the laughs and inside jokes and the pinch me I'm dreaming moments. pls let's all forget the times when I would do my own eyeliner thx . much love and happiness to these ladies @fifthharmony and thx to the fans who had fun with us along the way (sic)."

The lead singer of Havana quit the group in 2016, while the remaining four members went on indefinite sabbatical in 2018 to pursue solo endeavors. It was massive news especially because there were back-and-forth social media replies between Cabello on the one hand, and the official Twitter account of the Fifth Harmony.

In December 2012, the girls placed third on the Fox competition and secured contracts with Cowell's Syco Music and Reid's Epic Records, respectively. In October 2013, they released their debut EP, Better Together, followed by two albums, Reflection (2015) and 7/27 (2016).

But towards the end of 2016, cracks began to appear inside the organization. On multiple times, Normani, Lauren, Ally, and Dinah were seen hanging out together, but Camila was nowhere to be found. Then, in December of same year, Fifth Harmony issued a statement claiming they were "advised by [Camila's] representatives" that she had resigned, which she later stated was "just false." A highly publicized exchange ensued, revealing that the girls had been in choppy waters for a while.

On September 2016, it was already clear that Cabello had had enough. She left a Fifth Harmony concert early. She later tweeted that she "had too much anxiety and was unable to complete" the St. Louis performance.

And then on December of that year,  Normani, Lauren, Ally, and Dinah wore identical red Florida Panthers jerseys without pants for their farewell performance as a group at Y100's Jingle Ball in December 2016. In contrast, Camila stood out from the crowd in a crop top and white leggings.

On the same month, Fifth Harmony announced Camila's exit via Twitter in December 2016, writing, "After 4 and a half years of being together, we have been informed via her representatives that Camila has decided to leave Fifth Harmony. We wish her well. ... That being said, we are excited to announce that we will be moving forward with the four of us - Ally Brooke, Normani Kordei, Dinah Jane and Lauren Jauregui for our fans. We are four strong, committed women who will continue with Fifth Harmony as well as our solo endeavors."

Cabello did not like the official statement made, saying that it is not true that she just left the group by having her reps get in touch with the girls. She the announced that she's working hard for her solo music career.

In August 2017, at the MTV Video Music Awards, a shadows figure purported to symbolize Camila was pushed offstage at the opening of Fifth Harmony's performance. Later, the "Seorita" singer revealed to The New York Times that the action "certainly wounded my sentiments" and was "petty."

Still, this did not stop her from becoming a highly-respected solo artist in the years that followed.
