Snoop Dogg is desperate to save his company from a lawsuit after Drakeo the Ruler's death.

Months after Drakeo the Ruler was stabbed and killed at the "Once Upon a Time in L.A.," Snoop Dogg wants a Los Angeles judge to remove his company's name from the legal battle. Rolling Stone shared the filings this week, showing the argument presented by Snoop Dogg's LLC and Bobby Dee Presents' lawyer.

In the document, the representative said that the clients should be either dismissed from the negligence lawsuit or prevented from shouldering any liability in possible punitive damages.

The court is yet to respond to Snoop Dogg's request. But his move came weeks after Live Nation also made a similar filing.

In July, the concert promotion giant submitted a filing in response to the lawsuits filed by Devante Caldwell, Darrylene Corniel, and the late rapper's son, Caiden Caldwell.

"Case law does not support the logic between imputing liability for prior similar incidents based on alleged conduct that occurred in the city surrounding the subject premises. Mere allegations of gang activity and associated general safety concerns in South Central Los Angeles should not be considered in determining foreseeability of the subject incident," Live Nation's filing said, per Los Angeles Times.

It also alleged that there was no evidence that Drakeo the Ruler's team asked for extra security. Live Nation also did not disallow him from bringing additional people as his brother claimed.

Their filings were filed months before a hearing is scheduled for September 20. The lawsuits related to the case are likely to be consolidated on that day.

Drakeo the Ruler's Death

Drakeo the Ruler's mother disclosed that witnesses told her that there was a massive influx of crowd when rapper YG arrived. She estimated that 40 to 60 people swamped her sons before everything else happened quickly.

"He was trying to fight, but when he turned around, he could see his brother with blood gushing out of him. He was like, 'Did they stab you?' It was like, there were so many of them," she continued, as quoted by Yahoo Entertainment.
