Since Fifth Harmony disbanded years ago, Normani has made a name for herself as a solo artist. However, fans are still waiting for her to release a debut album as she's been dropping singles since leaving the group.

More recently, a fan called her out for not being passionate about her career and she had the perfect response.

A user tweeted out that they had no idea where the singer's motivation has gone and they don't see "the same passion from her as I used to." The post isn't accessible anymore as the fan set their profile to private. (via Newsweek)

Following this, another user chimed in, writing, "What happens when you've gotten comfortable and you're not HUNGRY anymore."

Normani did not hold back with her choice of words as she quote-retweeted the post with the caption, "just shut the f*** up."

Fashion illustrator Hayden Williams replied to the singer's tweet, saying the public have no idea what it's like to work in the music industry and its "complexities."

The "Motivation" hitmaker responded, saying she's going through something in her personal life." (via Uproxx)

Why Normani Hasn't Release a Debut Album Yet

In an interview with Bustle, Normani said she understand her fans' patience as waiting isn't the easiest thing to do for her, but she explained that people don't understand her situation since becoming a solo artist after leaving Fifth Harmony.

People expected the singer to release an album following her successful 2019 hit "Motivation," but she revealed that it wasn't the perfect time to drop a record because she would've "put out a body of work that I wasn't confident in."

Through the years, the former "X Factor" contestant has been releasing singles like "Diamonds" with Megan Thee Stallion, "Dancing With a Stranger" with Sam Smith, "Wild Side" with Cardi B, and many more collaborative works.

When Will Normani Release Her First Album?

In the same interview, it seems like Normani expected the question when she was asked about the release date of her debut album.

She revealed the status of her album, saying "summer for sure."

In addition to her first record, the "Love Lies" hitmaker also confirmed that she'll be going on tour.

As of this writing, Normani has not publicly confirmed an official release date and tracklist for her highly-anticipated album.
