In his third attempt to secure a bond release, Young Thug has been denied again, further cementing his stay behind bars until his January 2023 trial.

The YSL rapper was hit with another round of charges earlier this year, apart from the breach of contract lawsuit for not accomplishing a promised rebond to an event company.

Thug was among the 28 Young Slime Life associates involved in a sweeping indictment last May 9.

Since then, all attempts of a bond release of any associates were not granted by the presiding judge.

Young Thug Denied Bond Again For the Third Time

According to Alive 11, Thugger has been denied bond release for the third time since he was arrested in May.

During the first two hearings, the presiding judge ruled that Young Thug could not be granted release because of the belief that he holds a "commanding position" in the gang.

The indictment alleges that the GRAMMY-winning rapper was the supposed founder of the Atlanta gang since 2012.

Since then, he was denied release because of the judge's fear that he would be tampering with and intimidating witnesses involved in the case.

In the recent "heated" hearing, Thug's legal team argued that the prosecution attributed the song lyrics that were used by the court to indict him as "misrepresented. He has been claiming since the previous hearings that he did not write the verses in question.

Authorities have used the Young Thug's lyrics on one of his songs as a basis for the 88-page indictment. Particularly, Thug and Gunna's 2021 song "Slatty" was cited.

Meanwhile, the prosecution pointed out the possible effect of the rapper's freedom if granted. (via HipHopDX)

"He says in the songs he's the general. He runs a very violent street gang that has committed numerous murders... if he's let out I would expect that to continue. This is the real deal, these are violent people, dangerous people," they explained.

Earlier this month, Young Thug and several members of the YSL associates already in jail were served with another set of felony charges.

Notoriously, the "Came and Saw" rapper was recently sued by A-1 Concert Entertainment for not showing up to the promised concert despite being paid already. Because of the numerous denial for a bond release, Thug could not make it to the show.

However, they promised to refund the downpayment, but the company alleges that they had not received a single dime from the rapper yet.
