Nicki Minaj's "Super Freaky Girl" debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts earlier this week, breaking all sorts of records and accomplishing new feats.

"Super Freaky Girl" marks Nicki Minaj's first No. 1 unaccompanied hit, 13 years into her career. However, some eagle-eyed detractors have spotted a questionable move from the female rapper's side that has raised eyebrows on social media.

Turns out, "Super Freaky Girl" production credits include Lukasz Sebastian Gottwald, also known as Dr. Luke.

'Super Freaky Girl' Produced By Dr. Luke?

In a Billboard article wherein writers gave their assessments on Minaj's banger hit, they were asked to rank from 1-10 how the recent No. 1 accomplishment that Nicki had impacted her pop legacy.

Billboard contributor Kyle Denis ranked it a 7.5, noting that securing a No. 1 hit unaccompanied is not paramount to her already bustling legacy in music.

"When you have a "Super Bass" or "Moment 4 Life," the label of a No. 1 single is just an added bonus," he added.

However, in Denis' honest answer, he revealed that "Super Freaky Girl's" production credits include Dr. Luke, who was entangled in an infamous legal battle with Kesha over allegations of sexual assault.

Nicki Minaj was the first non-Kemosabe artist to give him a No. 1 hit, but this was the third time she had been involved in a song with Dr. Luke on the songwriting and production credits.

In both "Say So" and "TROLLZ," Nicki is a featured artist, which all debuted at No. 1 - Dr. Luke was involved one way or another in the production of such tracks.

"Nicki willingly aligning herself with this kind of distasteful company dampens any celebratory feelings about her No. 1 achievements," he furthered.

Based on the song credits on the track's Spotify details, Lukasz Gottwald was credited with the songwriting, while his moniker, Dr. Luke, is also listed as a producer.

Meanwhile, Barbz has expressed outrage against Forbes music writer Hugh McIntyre after he pointed out the same thing on Twitter.

As of this writing, Nicki Minaj nor anyone from her team has addressed the issue to confirm Dr. Luke's involvement with the track.
