Meghan Trainor is ready for a second child, with her husband Daryl Sabara. Does this mean halting her music career to get pregnant? She recently revealed that only her busy schedule is preventing them from trying to have a second baby sooner.

Trainor has shared how much she wants a second baby.

"If I could've got pregnant months ago, I would've," the 28-year-old singer told Us Weekly Thursday. "We're just busy and I don't want to be, like, nauseous while doing all this fun stuff."

She stated that she will soon be required to "travel the world in a hurry" but expects to conceive before the end of the year. "But November, December, I'ma be trying to get knocked up," she revealed so firmly and precisely, saying a new baby is on her "calendar."

One can get the feeling that she's very serious about this goal, which means she's willing to do all, including halting her music career, it seems.

"I would love a daughter," Trainor added. "I'm gonna eat acidy foods 'cause I heard that helps you get a daughter." On Valentine's Day 2021, Trainor gave birth to her son Riley and described the event as "terrifying" due to the infant's respiratory difficulties. "It was one of those horror stories where he didn't cry," Trainor said the following June.

"He didn't make noise when he came out. I was like, 'Why isn't he crying?' It was terrifying."

Riley was transported to the neonatal intensive care unit for the insertion of a feeding tube. The singer revealed that she just saw her child for a split second before he was taken away, breaking her heart for a bit. That was likely the worst portion she said.

After five days, the parents were finally able to take Riley home. "We had a rocky start..but Riley is perfect, happy and healthy so lucky to be your mama sweet boy," Trainor shared via Instagram.

Meghan Trainor sat down with Billboard News anchor Tetris Kelly prior to the release of her new album Takin' It Back to discuss the influences behind the project and how it feels to see her 2015 song "Title" go viral on TikTok. The singer said that her previous discography served as inspiration for her forthcoming October release.

She said she's returning to her sound, which she realized she actually has. She is surprised that so many artists have told her they wanted to replicate the "Meghan Trainor sound," which is inspiring for her too. "I have the doo-wop sound. At the same time, 'Title' blew up on TikTok. I was like, 'Wow, universe is talking to me, and I'm listening," she shared.
