Tyrese Gibson is now legally single, and the judge advised him to view the money as an investment in his child's future. The judge urged Tyrese to regard the $10,000 per month he will be required to pay in child support as a substantial investment in his child's future. However, Tyrese's reaction to this had the judge threatening to hold him in contempt.

The the judge became extremely agitated during portions of Tyrese's evidence, especially when Samantha's attorney questioned him about his finances and Tyrese attempted to retaliate. Samantha's attorney pointed out that Tyrese earned more than $2 million in 2018, a year in which he claimed to be bankrupt. Tyrese said, "I don't do the CFO thing. Here's a question to you, smart person ..."

The judge interrupted him and said, "You don't ask questions!" before he could finish his sentence. "This is not how it works!" He threatened to hold Tyrese in contempt if he continued to engage in humorous behavior.

It was August 30 evening in Georgia when Tyrese's court battle with his former wife, Samantha Lee Gibson, concluded with the judge ordering the actor to pay $10,690/month in child support. Their daughter's name is Soraya.

Perhaps sensing Tyrese's displeasure at the verdict, the judge personally addressed him, stating that the verdict is hardly punishment for the artist. It's for his child.

The judge also ordered Samantha and Tyrese not to disparage one other in front of their daughter, Soraya, and stated Tyrese should be pleased if his ex-wife moved into a finer home because it will improve his daughter's standard of life.

Now, the problem for Tyrese is that the judge ruled that the $10k/month obligation extends back to September 2020, when Samantha filed for divorce, which means he owes his ex-wife a lump payment of $209k. In light of the fact that Tyrese had been making Samantha's auto payments for two years, the judge deducted $46k, bringing the total to $169k.

The judge ruled that neither side will pay spousal support, which is excellent news for Tyrese.

As initially reported, this is precisely what Tyrese desired, along with keeping their Range Rover and giving Samantha their Land Rover. He also had that. Almost as an afterthought, the court granted Samantha's petition for divorce as the very last thing he did; therefore, both of them are single, even if they are not yet ready to mix.
