Kings Of Leon has gotten a major disruption in its Mechanical Bull Tour after drummer Nathan Followill was injured in a tour bus crash. Today (Aug. 12), the "Wait For Me" band announced that its cancelled the next two weeks of its live trek in order to allow Followill to recover.

According to Billboard, the drummer is under strict doctor's orders not to perform on stage until late this month. "To avoid complications and to make a full recovery, a break from performing to Aug. 28 is necessary," Dr. Faiz Bhora said in a statement.

The resulting tour cancellation affects nine different concerts in five states.

The cancelled tour dates are a result of a tour bus accident that took place on Aug. 10. According to the band's Facebook page, a pedestrian jumped in front of the band's tour bus, causing the vehicle to stop short and, as a result, Followill broke several ribs.

He appears to be in good health and posted a message of thanks to YouTube.

Kings Of Leon are still due to appear on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon tonight (Aug. 12), with Questlove subbing in for Followill.
