Slipknot is not breaking up - that is according to frontman Corey Taylor as he addressed the rumors emerging that the band will be breaking up because of the new Slipknot album title.

The seventh studio album of the band, "The End, So Far," is set to release on September 30, the prequel to their 2019 album, "We Are Not Your Kind," which debuted atop the Billboard 200 charts.

While the band is far from over, Corey Taylor, on the other hand, will be spending more time in the studio as he is set to release his sophomore album next year.

Slipknot Disbanding Rumors: Is It True?

Rumors that the prominent nu-metal band, Slipknot will be disbanding have been floating all over the summer after the band announced that their upcoming album will be titled "The End, So Far."

The worry is warranted, given the very telling Slipknot album title.

But, in a July performance, vocalist Corey Taylor swatted the rumors, saying that it is "further from the f--cking truth."

The rumors floated up again as Taylor started teasing that his solo sophomore effort is already done and is just waiting to be recorded.

According to Blabbermouth, Taylor recently graced SiriusXM, where he elaborated more on what the album title really meant.

The frontman jokingly teased that if he got a nickel every time the rumors of their disbandment emerges, he would have a "sh-t-tonne of nickels," since the same tidbit has been floating in the air since 2003.

"Nothing sells albums like drama, let's put it that way, and even drama that doesn't even come from us; it just comes from the fans. But at the same time, I kind of started saying onstage... explaining what the title is," Taylor explained.

Furthermore, he doubled down on his previous explanation - that the album title was actually the end of another era and the start of the next one.

"The End, So Far" is hitting the stands on September 30. One of its lead singles, "The Chapeltown Rag" has already been released last November 2021 and has hit No. 28 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Charts and No. 19 on the Hot Rock & Alternative Songs and the Digital Song Sales charts.
