"Don't I Make It Look Easy," the latest track from Meghan Trainor's forthcoming album "Takin' It Back," is a brilliant homage to her work-life balance.

Actually, what she wants to say about being a mom and a career woman at the same time can be glimpsed from the title. She does make it look easy - but this is of course, not the case in real life, as other career parents would attest.

"When I started recording the album I was learning how to be a working mom," Trainor said in a statement.
"I very literally had my hands full with formula and toys, while also being in the studio writing and recording. I realized from the outside looking in I made this all look easy. Similar to how we only post the good moments on our social media, I thought, 'Isn't it silly that moms are supposed to have it all together?' My intention with this song is to let everyone out there know that even though they might be feeling overwhelmed, they're doing a great job."

Trainor gave birth to her first child shortly after the marketing for her 2020 album Treat Myself was canceled due to the Covid-19 outbreak. She then began working on her forthcoming album Takin' It Back, due out on October 21.

She also told Rolling Stone in a June interview that since she had a C-section, she feels like her songwriting has improved significantly.

She explained that it's actually like Title 2.0. She said its authentic to herself in all the strange genres she explores, but yet contemporary with her all "doo-wop" in there.

Meghan Trainor is ready for a second child though despite her struggles with her first child. She recently revealed that only her busy schedule is preventing them from trying at the time.

She stated that she will soon be required to "travel the world in a hurry" but expects to conceive before the end of the year

Trainor gave birth to her son Riley on Valentine's Day 2021 and characterized the occasion as "terrifying" due to the infant's respiratory issues. Riley was transferred to the neonatal intensive care unit so that a feeding tube could be inserted. The parents were ultimately able to take Riley home after five days.

Trainor recently enjoyed a girls' trip in Rancho Santa Fe, California, with friends including Hilary Duff and Ashley Tisdale, since Riley is now "totally healthy." The ladies spent the night at Rancho Valencia Resort & Spa, where they shared images of themselves sipping wine, swimming, and wearing "Mother" tracksuits.
