Experimental hip-hop pioneer DJ Shadow released a new EP today titled The Liquid Amber EP through his website, which is available for streaming and free download right now. The EP features two new songs, "Ghost Town" and "Mob," and one remix of "Six Days" by Machinedrum. The EP serves as the debut release on DJ Shadow's new imprint label, which is also named "Liquid Amber."
"Both songs...represent the forward steps I feel I've taken as an engineer," DJ Shadow wrote on his website. "The 'Six Days' remix was something I asked Machinedrum to knock out as a tour weapon, and he crushed it (naturally), so I felt it deserved a proper release."
