It has been so long since Mariah Carey has given her fans an album, but soon they will be blessed.

The Christmas queen also admitted that she spent a lot of time in her Atlanta "butterfly lounge" studio recording during the epidemic in an interview with the Rolling Stone"Music Now" podcast. She is now eager to release a number of new tracks in the coming future.

In the interview, Mariah stated that she was working on three to four different projects at once.

On one project, she is almost finished adjusting the background vocals. The third option is a "themed album," while the second is a brand-new song that may be "for the scripted series" or "documentary."

The mom-of-twins Monroe and Moroccan revealed in the podcast, "It's something that people have been asking me to do for years, but it's not done in the traditional sense. It's not done yet, but I'm really excited about it."

"I'm working (on that album) with some very eclectic, newer artists, as well as some legendary folks."

Unfortunately for the fans, the "Always Be My Baby" hitmaker didn't divulge any more details.

Early Pandemic Was A Good Time For Mariah Carey

The benefit of the epidemic, Mariah Carey said in the same interview, was that it allowed her to rest her voice.

The 53-year-old woman said that engaging in a lot of activities, traveling, and growing hoarse affected her voice.

Although she claimed that no one ever enjoyed dealing with the epidemic, it did provide her the opportunity to return to the studio, concentrate on the music, and recover as if it were her "gift."

Mariah Carey's Long-Lost Rock Album

According to reports, Mariah Carey made a covert alternate. rock album in 1995, much to her then-record label's dismay.

Now that she has located the original tapes that her record company refused to release, she intends to release the "irreverent, raw, and urgent" album.

She apparently collaborated with the Chick band, which was once known as Eel Teel. Veruca Salt, Hole, and Alanis Morrissette were cited as influences on the record.

Sessions for the secret album were held after midnight because she was preoccupied with "Daydream," her fifth studio album at the time.

"I was playing with the style of the breezy-grunge, punk-light white female singers who were popular at the time," she wrote in her memoir.

"I wanted to break free, let loose, and express my misery - but I also wanted to laugh."

Executives at Sony, however, warned her that her alleged recordings might harm her reputation when they learned about the songs.
