Lizzo is the first person to play a crystal flute that belonged to one of the founding fathers of the United States.

During her Tuesday night performance in Washington, D.C., the performer revealed a major surprise. - the extremely rare flute was crafted in 1813 and once belonged to James Madison... Also known as U.S. President No. 4.

She was quite anxious about even holding the flute, let alone playing it. She did not hide this though.

Instead, she informed the audience in her very Lizzo way that she's "scared."

When Lizzo finally played her first note, the crowd positively exploded.

She then twerked while playing more.

She also shared her joy online following the performance... announcing to her followers that she is "the first and only one" to play this flute.

She continued that she'll never get over it.

Lizzo was invited by Librarian of Congress Carla Hayden to examine "the largest flute collection" while in town earlier this week, and the singer took her up on it, adding "I'M PLAYIN THAT CRYSTAL FLUTE!!!"

The "About Damn Time" singer won an Emmy for best competitive program for her Amazon series "Lizzo's Watch Out for the Big Grrrls," which chronicled her search for backup dancers.

"When I was a little girl, all I wanted to see was me in the media - someone fat like me, Black like me, beautiful like me," an emotional Lizzo as she went up to get her award. "If I could go back and tell little Lizzo something, I'd be like, 'You're going to see that person, but b***h, it's going to have to be you.'"

Lizzo also congratulated the competitors on her series, adding, "This is for the huge grrrls!"

Since her 2019 hit "Truth Hurts" catapulted her to fame, the Grammy-winning artist has advocated for Black women, the LGBTQ community, and women of all sizes. "Big Grrls" follows Lizzo as she casts plus-size dancers for her next tour; several of the cast members were on present to see Lizzo collect the prize.

Some said her speech was meant as a clapback against recent body shaming comments.

It can be recalled that in an interview with The Art of Dialogue, comedian Aries Spears made body-shaming comments about the "Truth Hurts" singer. When questioned about Lizzo's music, Spears remarked that he cannot get over the fact that she looks like the s*** emoji.

If that is not insulting enough, he also said while Lizzo has a beautiful face, she constantly exposes her body, implying that she technically has no right to do so. Then, he criticized the "hypocrisy" of women who praise body confidence and "sisterhood" but refuse to acknowledge health hazards such as "diabetes," "heart difficulties," "heart disease," and "cholesterol."
