A new trend on TikTok involving Nicki Minaj's "Super Freaky Girl" has been doing rounds in everyone's For You pages, and Meghan Trainor jumped in to share her "one thing about me" story.

In 2018, pictures of Meghan Trainor and her husband leaving a sex shop, with a bag full of products, went viral. The singer wanted to set the record straight.

"One thing about me is that four years ago I went in a sex shop and got paparazzi'd with my husband named Daryl - the 'spy kid' Juni," she began by rapping. "And it was embarrassing."

The 28-year-old continued, "[...] It wasn't for us. I mean, we get pretty freaky, but not, like, too much."

"It was for a friend who was too, too shy to get a vibrator and lube, so I bought it for her."

She went on to explain that their leaving the sex shop was not the only highlight of the story. "But the sad thing was, my husband decided to wear his feet shoes, and the paparazzi got a picture of it."

Fans pointed out the incredulous shoes Daryl Sabara, her husband, was sporting. She called them "feet shoes," which he used for working out.

"The world saw, and it was after a workout. We didn't look good. We kind of looked sad, and it went viral. My mother was pissed," she added

She concluded the story by rapping that her friend received the products and had a great time using them.

Fans React

With the mystery of the sex shop solved, fans commented below the TikTok video with mixed reactions.

"But you had bags of things," a fan commented with laughing emojis.

Since the "Title" singer brought it up, fans scoured the internet for the said pictures to have a good laugh, "Meghan, I just looked up the photos and they're gold. You are like like," a fan wrote with embarrassed and eyes emojis.

Another TikTok user replied, "this picture should be in history books."

The TikTok video has garnered over 1.9 million likes three thousand shares, and four thousand comments as of this writing.

However, this is actually old news. Back in 2018, after the pictures went viral, Trainor already set the record straight by telling Refinery29 that the shop visit was done on a friend's behalf.

"I think the biggest deal was how hurt we looked. I think that was the big deal. Because we'd just worked out, and it wasn't our plan to do this," she told Refinery29 in 2018.

"I had a special situation. This is the honest truth: I went for a friend. It sounds so dumb. It's so true," she said, "And did I pick stuff up for me? Yeah. While I'm here, let's grab a few things!"
