Jane's Addiction co-headlining a tour along with Smashing Pumpkins this coming year, but it would seem like Dave Navarro, JA's guitarist would not be around for the entire tour.

Supposedly, Navarro is helming the guitars for the "Spirits on Fire" co-headlining tour for Jane's Addiction. However, due to his health constraints, he was advised to take a step back.

But, fret not as even though he would not be on tour, Dave Navarro will still be working on new music for the American rock band.

Is Dave Navarro's Health Condition Worsening?

According to Dave Navarro's statement, it would seem like he has not yet recovered from the COVID-19 virus as this was the reason for him not joining the next leg of the tour.

"I had hoped for a full recovery by October but I am still very fatigued and will not be able to join this leg. I am personally gutted as our original bass player has returned, Eric Avery. We wanted to bring you the original line up but that will have to wait until I am recovered," he wrote on Twitter.

A June article that Yahoo News posted, reports that Navarro was still battling COVID-19 six months after testing positive for the virus,

Per a Johns Hopkins University study, COVID-19 cases which comes usually mild cases, last just one to two weeks upon contraction. However, there had been severe cases that remain for six or more weeks.

In a previous statement, Navarro revealed that he has been sick since December 2021, reminding everyone who has tested negative already but is still suffering from "long haul" COVID-19 sickness, that they are not alone.

Dave Navarro Working on Jane's Addiction New Music While On Tour Pause

Billboard reports that despite Navarro sitting it out, he would be spending most of his time in the studio while everyone's on tour.

With his absence on tour, experienced guitarist Troy Van Leeuwen from A Perfect Circle and Queens of the Stone Age will be helming the guitars for the "Spirits on Fire" tour.

"He is a great guy and I am honored to have him help make this tour happen. Though I am saddened to not make this tour I am focused on making a full recovery and re-joining the guys when I am able. I truly wish the band well on this tour and I am confident they will bring everything to make it a fabulous show! Go get em guys!" Navarro said.

The "Spirits on Fire Tour" will kickstart in Dallas, Texas on October 2, at the American Airlines Center.
