Remy Ma was in the early stages of negotiations to become the first rapper to join the ranks of "Real Housewives," but she encountered a significant obstacle because, as any realtor would advise her, "location, location, location" is everything.

TMZ quotes sources with knowledge of the facts as having said that Eboni K. Williams, who stars in the Bravo reality series "RHONY," suggested Remy's name for casting several months ago. asserting that Remy would be a wonderful addition to the program.

According to reports, Remy and the casting team had a great virtual dialogue. But when they learned that the Bronx-born MC now resides in New Jersey full-time, they encountered a major hurdle.

According to site's sources, the artist no longer resides in her midtown Manhattan residence. She was still thought to have connections to New York City at the time she was recommended to casting.

All conversations with Remy about "Real Housewives of New York City" came to a stop since, while the Bravo series has historically been lenient about the cast members' "wife" status, they are rather stringent when it comes to location.

According to reports, renowned NYC newscaster Tamsen Fadal from the CW affiliate PIX11 was also a candidate but it eventually didn't pan out.

The 14th season's new cast has not yet been formally revealed by Bravo. Housewives boss Andy Cohen revealed the network is entirely reinventing and recasting 'RHONY' after 13 seasons, as we reported in April.

In another story though, she has already shown she has skills outside of rapping, despite not appearing on this reality television. She can model as well!

Remy Ma has her fair share of controversies in the industry - the biggest one of which is saying Doja Cat IS NOT a rapper.

Remy Ma has some opinions on Doja Cat's genre-defying musical style. Doja Cat is up for eight Grammys this year, including two in rap categories.

"I don't think she's a rapper," Remy Ma said during her interview Drink Champs' DJ EFN and N.O.R.E. "Let's be clear with that. They put her in the rapper category, I don't think she's a rapper. But she makes dope records, and I think she's dope."
