'Stories To Tell'

Bono, born Paul David Hewson, surely has some stories to tell, after all, he is a rockstar from U2. His memoir will reportedly follow his life, starting from his upbringing in Dublin, how he grappled with the loss of his mother, his career as the frontman of U2, and his philanthropic work, among others.

The 62-year-old singer first announced his plans of writing a memoir in May. Penguin Random House announced that the book will have 40 chapters, each after a song by U2, and it will be accompanied by 40 original drawings by Bono himself.

He described the memoir as "the story of one pilgrim's lack of progress ... With a fair amount of fun along the way," adding that he came up with the title because of his upbringing in Ireland, with heavy Christian beliefs.

As frontman for U2 since 1976, he has been on stage for a good chunk of his life, and he explained that he missed being on stage and the "closeness" of the U2 audience.

"In these shows, I've got some stories to sing, and some songs to tell... Plus I want to have some fun presenting my ME-moir, 'Surrender,' which is really more of a WE-moir if I think of all the people who helped me get from there to here." the singer-songwriter said.

According to reports, this book tour will mark the first time Bono hitting the road since 2017. As of this writing, there is no word whether Bono will perform any songs on the Stories of Surrender tour.

Fans cannot wait to see the Irish native back on stage and some have even asked for more stops included in the tour.

Bono is one of the most prominent figures in the music industry, and now he is about to embark on a new journey with his memoir. The editor for "Surrender: 40 Songs, One Story," Raegan Arthur noted that the rock star had a knack for writing, "Surrender is honest, intimate, irreverent and profound - a dazzling memoir of a remarkable life."
