The winner of the MTV Music Award, who uses both "they/their" and "she/her" pronouns, expressed an unwillingness to cancel the performance but was compelled to do so in her October 5 show.

She (the singer actress expressed she's back to using this pronoun after using they for so long) said that this is the last thing she wished to do. She said she cannot wait for her health woes to be over so she can perform once more.

It's unclear what has inflicted her but she woke up with absolutely no voice. Without a voice, a concert is therefore not likely to be possible.

She apologized profusely and said she appreciated those who could understand. She promised though that the cancellation would not affect the validity of the tickets that the affected concertgoers have in their hands

The next show by the "Heart Attack" singer is slated for Friday, October 7 in Detroit. It is currently unknown if her voice will be sufficiently rested to perform by then.
