Many fans from Chicago have been waiting for Harry Styles to perform in the city; most of them even camped outside the venue to be the first set of people to enter the concert. However, the singer had to cancel his appearance due to an alarming situation.

According to Chicago Sun Times, the "As It Was" hitmaker was scheduled to perform at the United Center for six nights, but the opening show was postponed due to "an abundance of caution."

A member of the band/crew reportedly had an illness as announced by a representative from Sony Music, but they clarified the British singer was not affected.

Fortunately for other fans who have passes on other days, the schedule for Saturday evening's show will still happen as it was not canceled.

The remaining dates for his tour in the windy city would be on October 9, 10 (rescheduled show), 13, 14, and 15.

Supporters who missed out on ticket selling will not be able to secure passes anymore as the dates mentioned above are all sold out unless they purchase from resale markets, but NBC Chicago reported that prices are much higher than the original.

All tickets for the postponed show are still valid for the show on Monday.

Fans Express Disappointment on Twitter

After the venue announced the show's cancelations, many fans immediately took to the reply section to express their disappointment as many of them traveled from outside the city just to see the former One Direction member.

"I'm so sorry to everyone who came in from out of town for this show. You have a right to be upset and sad," one fan told other supporters.

One fan noted that they're currently getting ready to see the singer and drove six hours to get to the concert venue only to find out that it was canceled.

Another unfortunate concertgoer would not make it to the Monday show as they came from somewhere far, saying they flew by plane for eight hours and were set to return on the day the rescheduled date takes place.

"Yep. My teenage daughters flew in from St. Louis and can't stay. They already missed school to go. How terrible they won't reimburse for the tix we cannot use now. :(" one parent wrote.

As of this writing, Harry Styles has not publicly responded to the comments online.
