Robert Glasper Shares How the Collaboration Happened

In a statement, the famed pianist shares how the track came to fruition, saying he was finishing a specific beat with a friend and he immediately sent it to Miller.

An hour after receiving the song, the rapper, who passed away in 2018, sent back the file with a complete verse and choruses.

"you could tell it was not something that he had written before. He sang, and  the chord changes. You can tell he really came up with that in the moment," he explained.

Glasper was given a go-signal by Miller's estate to release the song as they also reacted to the recent release, saying they were honored to support in sharing the song.

They also explained that the collaboration is a "reflection of the special friendship" that the two musicians shared.

"Black Radio III: Supreme Edition" will be available for purchase and streaming starting this October 14. Other major collaborators include Lalah Hathaway, Ty Dolla $ign, Jennifer Hudson, K.R.I.T., D Smoke, BJ The Chicago Kid, H.E.R, and many more.
