The MTV European Music Awards is already fast approaching, and the star-studded list of nominees has already hit online!

Taking place on Nov. 13, 2022, at the PSD Bank Dome in Düsseldorf, Germany, the MTV EMAs 2022 marks the sixth time the show will be held in the country.

It will be broadcasted live on MTV and 170 other countries through Germany's Paramount's Pluto TV and Comedy Central on the same day. The show will likewise be available on Paramount+ and Pluto TV globally the day after the live shows.

MTV EMAs 2022 Nominees

Leading the bill is Harry Styles, who reaped seven total nominations. He scored a nod as Best Artist, Best Live, Best Song and Video for "As It Was," Best Pop, Biggest Fans, and Best UK & Ireland Act. (via The Hollywood Reporter)

Meanwhile, Taylor Swift is a nomination away from a tie with Styles. The GRAMMY-winning royalty is nominated for Best Artist, Best Pop, Best US Act, Biggest Fans, Best Video, and Best Longform Video for "All Too Well (10-Minute Version) (Taylor's Version)." Swift is the most nominated female artist of the night.

Nicki Minaj is a close third as she is the most nominated rapper of the 2022 MTV EMAs. The MTV VMAs Video Vanguard Awardee is nominated for Best Artist, Biggest Fans, Best Hip-Hop, Best Song, and Best Video for the chart-topping hit, "Super Freaky Girl."

According to MTV, the EMAs had nominated fresh new faces on the award show. This includes breakout stars Gayle, Chencho Corleone, and Stephen Sanchez, who all got two nominations each. Meanwhile, Mae Muller, Saucy Santana, Shenseea, Wet Leg, Summer Walker, Doechii, Kim Petras, Baby Keem, and Dove Cameron all scored their first noms.

As for the major categories, the Best Song Category is a tight one with all summer hits. Bad Bunny and Chencho Corleone's "Me Porto Bonito" and ROSALIA's "DESPECHA" were two Latin acts that were nominated in the category. Meanwhile, Billboard Hot 100 leaders "As It Was," "Super Freaky Girl," "About Damn Time," and "First Class" were also included in the mix.

For Best Video, BLACKPINK'S "Pink Venom" is the only Korean act that is going head to head with mainstream acts. Doja Cat's "Woman" is on the running. Harry Styles' "As It Was," Kendrick Lamar's "The Heart Pt 5," Nicki Minaj's "Super Freaky Girl," and Taylor Swift's MTV VMA-winning "All Too Well (10 Minute Version) (Taylor's Version)" vyes for the biggest award of the night.
