The first weekend of the "When We Were Young" Music Festival in Las Vegas was surely a trip down memory lane as famous 2000s bands gathered together and performed the ultimate throwback playlist.

Avril Lavigne, who recently released her new album, "Love Sux," was among the highly awaited performers of the music festival.

The first day of the festival was supposed to be last Oct. 22. However, due to inclement weather conditions reported in the area, the opening day was moved to the day after, Oct. 23.

Technically, Oct. 23 would be the festival's first day, putting Oct. 29 the second day.

Avril Lavigne's nostalgic performance last weekend was one of the highlights of the pop-punk festival.

The "Sk8r Boi" hitmaker surprised everyone when she was joined by All Time Low singer and guitarist Alex Gaskarth and lead guitarist Jack Barakat to perform a head-banging cover of "All The Small Things" by Blink-182. (via Billboard)

However, very recently, the organizers of the When We Were Young Festival has some unfortunate news to share.

In an Instagram post sharing next week's (Oct. 29) schedule, festival organizers have announced that Avril Lavigne would not be performing at the upcoming show as expected.

"We had the best time on Sunday with @avrillavigne. Due to unforeseen circumstances, she is unable to join us on Oct. 29 of When We Were Young. We will miss you, Avril!" the post reads.

Organizers have not expounded on the actual reason why Lavigne would not be performing. Heading to her Instagram page, the rocker's recent post was a hilarious haircut video of her getting cut by YUNGBLUD.

But fret not; A pop-punk act worthy of Avril Lavigne's spot was already announced.

"We are excited to share that Death Cab For Cutie and Underoath have been added to Saturday's lineup. LETS GO!" the announcement says.

Death Cab For Cutie was formed in Bellingham, Washington. Currently, the band is composed of vocalist Ben Gibbard, bassist Nick Hammer, guitarist Dave Gepper, keyboardist Zac Rae, and drummer Jason McGerr.

Aside from them, Florida's own Underoath was also added to the When We Were Young Festival updated lineup.

Happening again on Oct. 29, 2022, at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds, the When We Were Young Festival lineup includes Paramore, My Chemical Romance, The Maine, Dashboard Confessional, and Boys Like Girls, among many others.
