Even though Zack de la Rocha is recovering from his injury that led to the cancelation of Rage Against The Machine's tour, it didn't stop him from releasing music as he was recently featured in a collaboration song.

According to NME, American-English post-punk band Algiers teamed up with the singer for the song "Irreversible Damage."

Speaking about the meaning of the song, the band's frontman, Franklin James Fisher, said, "The end of that song is the sound of joy. That's what hope sounds like in 2022 when everything's falling apart." (listen to the track below)

The recent release is the group's follow-up to "Bite Back," in collaboration with Billy Woods and Backxwash.

Algiers is set to release their star-studded album titled "SHOOK." Some of the artist that would appear on the record include Mark Cisneros, Samuel T. Herring, Jae Matthews, Nadah El Shazly, DeForrest Brown Jr., Patrick Shiroishi, Big Rube, Lee Bains III, and many more.

The new album will be available for streaming and purchase on major music platforms starting February 24. CDs, vinyl, and other merchandise are now available for pre-order on their official website.

Aside from an upcoming album, the band is also set to go on tour in Europe next year starting at Workman's in Dublin, Ireland, on February 9.

Rage Against The Machine's Tour CANCELED Amid Zack de la Rocha's Recovery

In early reports, Rage Against The Machine was supposed to perform across North America next year, but it won't happen anymore as the frontman needs to recover from his injury.

The vocalist took to the band's official Instagram account to give an update about his medical woe, saying it's been three months since their first show, but since he was injured, he still looks down at his leg in disbelief.

Prior to the recent cancelation, their shows have been postponed over the past years due to the COVID-19 pandemic lockdowns.

"My tendon tears. Felt like a sick joke the universe played on me. As I write this I remind myself it's just bad circumstance," he wrote.

Speaking about the cancelation of their tour dates, de la Rocha explained that his injury was the primary reason why they postponed their upcoming shows as he needs time to recover from the incident.

"I've made the painful and difficult decision to cancel the remaining shows on our 2023 North American leg," he added.
