Megadeth might be amassing massive success after releasing their latest album this year titled "The Sick, The Dying... The Dead!" it dominated the charts and got thousands of streams on music platforms but not everyone is a fan of it, including former member David Ellefson.

Speaking to The Metal Voice, the former bassist, who was involved in a controversy last year which led to his firing, said he had already listened to the album, heard bits and pieces of it when it was in the works, but he doesn't have a physical copy on hand. He also clarified that he doesn't intend to own a copy anytime soon.

"I do not own a copy of the new one, nor will I. Honestly, once I was let go, I moved on. And I didn't look back," he added, saying he's moving forward after he was fired following the issue.

Later in the interview, Ellefson, who was involved in several projects since leaving the legendary band, claimed many people were upset about his exit but this isn't the first time he departed from the group.

"The first time, I'd only done Megadeth for almost 20 years, so when it ended, it was a pretty abrupt... the plane fell from the sky pretty frickin' hard for everybody," he said before noting that he was prepared for his recent firing. (via Loudwire)

Per the outlet, Ellefson was working on different materials for himself and other artists while he was creating the album with his bandmates. However, he considered his departure from the group as an end of a chapter.

Regarding where he stands with Megadeth today, the musician said he doesn't have time to get butthurt about it and clarified that he had already moved on, adding, "And that, I think, kind of just keeps me positive and moving forward."

Why Was David Ellefson Fired From Megadeth

In early reports, there were claims last year alleging that David Ellefson groomed a minor girl on the internet. The former bassist denied all the allegations, saying the woman he talked to was not underage at the time.

Since there were screenshots of his explicit messages and photos, the former member filed revenge-porn charges against the person whom he claims who have leaked the conversations online.

Earlier this year, he met up with authorities in Scottsdale, Arizona, to pursue charges.
