Takeoff eerily had his last wish days before he was shot and killed in Houston.

Last month, Takeoff and Quavo sat down for an interview with Revolt's "Drink Champs" podcast. The duo talked about their album, "Only Built for Infinity Links," and shared what they felt after receiving overwhelming success in Migos.

Elsewhere in the interview, host N.O.R.E. applauded the late rapper for showing what he got through the album with Quavo. He also told the guests that the new LP seemed to be Takeoff's chance to prove things.

In response to this, the 28-year-old rapper seemingly offered his last wish about his career - eerily resonating with what happened to him days later.

"For sure. Enough is enough. I'm chill, I'm-laid back, but it's time to pop it, you know what I mean? It's time to give me my flowers. I don't want them when I ain't here," Takeoff said, as quoted by Rolling Stone.

After starting his career in 2008, he successfully scored two Grammy Award nominations. His song "Bad and Boujee" with Lil Uzi Vert also made it to Billboard Hot 100 chart's No. 1 spot.

Takeoff also had collaborations with renowned artists, like Nicki Minaj, Cardi B, Snoop Dogg, John Legend, and DJ Calvin Harris, to name a few.

Despite that, Takeoff expressed how much he wanted to be recognized for his work even more and how he did not want to receive them after he was gone.

Unfortunately, he did not see those flowers given to him anymore after his tragic death.

Who Killed Rapper Takeoff?

Sgt. Michael Arrington said during a press conference on Tuesday afternoon (via Rolling Stone) that the Houston Police are still searching for the suspect/s in the fatal shooting.

He noted that details already emerged after the incident, but he did not share whether the police already had hard leads. He also did not name a suspect.

Per Arrington, the police department received a call regarding a shooting at 810 Billiards and Bowling. Responders arrived at the scene but found Takeoff already dead.

"A large group of people had gathered at the front door area just outside the building, and it led to an argument where the shooting took place from the disagreement," Arrington divulged. "A lot of people that were there fled the scene and did not stick around to give a statement."

Two other individuals sustained non-life-threatening injuries at the scene.
