Are you excited about the upcoming 2022 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade already?

American Thanksgiving traditions aren't the same without watching the annual parade on live television. After all, it's not just about that Turkey Roast that is the one to wait.

According to TODAY, this year's upcoming parade will feature a plethora of people lining up the streets to give carry out the annual celebration. Over 5,000 volunteers will be deployed during the event, with 16 giant balloons and 28 floats parading through the streets.

About 700 clowns and 12 marching bands will also be in attendance at the 2022 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.

"Since its first march in 1924 and through the decades, Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade has served to bring joy to the millions who gather nationwide each year to experience it with friends and family," Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade Executive Producer Will Cross said in a statement.

Macy's Thanksgiving 2022 Performers

According to the outlet, the parade will feature performances from a number of Broadway productions.

The cast of "A Beautiful Noise," "The Lion King," and "Some Like It Hot" will be performing their own respective numbers. But, taking the spotlight would be one of the most controversial productions recently on Broadway - "Funny Girl," which will show viewers all over the country another hair-raising performance from Lea Michele.

And traditionally, the Radio City Rockettes will be there too.

Macy's Thanksgiving 2022 Floats

Each of the 28 floats will carry a celebrity guest.

Paula Abdul, Jordin Sparks, Dionne Warwick, Betty Who, Joss Stone, Sean Paul, and Ziggy Marley are among the few expected to be there.

Reportedly, music icon Gloria Estefan, along with her family, will be present during the parade, as Mario Lopez's family will be there too.

"Blue's Clues & You" host Josh Dela Cruz will also be having his own float too.

Macy's Thanksgiving 2022 Parade Route

This year's Macy's Thanksgiving Parade shall be traversing a two-and-a-half-mile route. As usual, it would start at 77th Street and Central Park West, passing through Colombus Circle and turning to Central Park South until 6th Avenue. The parade culminates at Macy's Herald Square.

How To Watch Macy's Thanksgiving 2022 Parade?

If you want to watch live, it was advised to dress warmly. People could watch the Macy's Thanksgiving 2022 Parade at the designated portions that the NYPD will designate during the procession. However, it was advised to refrain from bringing large bags, umbrellas, backpacks, and strollers.
