Justin Bieber's been getting hit with negative publicity all over the place, stretching from his role in a Hamptons nightclub brawl to spraying a photo of Bill Clinton with cleaning detergent. But let's step back and give Bieber some props for a milestone few realized he was nearing: The most active recording artist ever with the Make-a-Wish Foundation.

On Monday, the pop star granted his 200th ever wish through the foundation. The lucky recipient was Annalyasha Brown-Rafanan, an eight-year-old from the Atlanta area who suffers from a "life-threatening" liver condition. The girl got to meet Bieber beforehand and attend his show that night. The pair hung out, and Brown-Rafanan got an opportunity that most of us journalists are jealous of: a personal Q-and-A session with the vocalist. She asked him his favorite song, favorite place to travel, and then dropped the big one: Would Bieber marry her? Bieber accepted, and put a ring-pop on her finger.

"Justin Bieber makes her happy," mother Contrina Brown said. "And through all her illness and poking and all that, it just takes away from 'I'm sick.'"

Bieber tweeted his enjoyment of the event to the Make-A-Wish afterward.

"This is what it is about. Thanks," he said. "Honored yesterday. one of the best moments ive ever had. thank u. looking forward to doing more together. thanks."

Say what you will about some of Bieber's other behavioral issues, you can't say after 200 wishes granted that he doesn't enjoy giving back to the kids.
