Aaron Carter's sudden death has left many shocked, including his ex-fiancee, Melanie Martin, who was seen weeping outside his home.

Although they had a rocky relationship, with their engagement called on and off and a domestic dispute, Martin grieved the loss of her child's father.

"We are still in the process of accepting this unfortunate reality," the model said in a statement. "Your thoughts and prayers are greatly appreciated."

In another instance, she posted a two-second video of herself hysterically sobbing in her car on TikTok.

This comes after the news of Carter's untimely death at his Palmdale home; he was 34 years old. According to reports, he "was found unresponsive" by his house sitter in his bathtub. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

Up and Down

Carter and Martin reportedly met in January 2020. By September 2021, they announced that they are expecting their first child together.

Martin shared the exciting news via Instagram, and she reflected on her relationship with the singer.

"The couples that are meant to be, are the ones who go through everything that is meant to tear them apart and come out even stronger. Even through our darkest storms, I know you're the one I want to spend the rest of my days with [Aaron Carter]. I'm so blessed and grateful for the life we have built," she wrote.

"I can't wait to welcome our son into this world in just a few short months. I love you with all my heart. I'm so excited for our little family and all of life's blessings coming our way. We all have ups and downs but I intend to keep my private life behind doors. You live and you learn. Xx."

By February 2022, things have taken a turn for the couple. Martin accused Carter of breaking three of her ribs.

The Blast obtained court documents that detailed Martin and Carter's flight.

"We had a fight about me talking to another man while we were broken up" she wrote. "He punched me in the left rib and pushed me. I didn't feel the pain until a few days later, then I left the house because he threaten to give me a restraining order."

Martin also noted that the "I Want Candy" singer "threatened [her] with a fake allegation" and that she was "thrown out on the streets."

In another instance, Carter called local law enforcement to get Martin out of his property. "She wouldn't leave. She was trying to trigger me, you know, into reacting and arguing."

Recently, Carter fired back at the model by suing her for "defamation of character." According to reports, he claimed that their suit would be a "Johnny Depp-Amber Heard 2.0."

Carter is a teen star turned rapper. He is the brother of Backstreet Boys' Nick Carter. He began his music career back in 1997, when he was 7 years old.
